Today I walked 11,625 steps, per my Omron hj 112 pedometer

Now my Omron HJ-112 Pedometer shows 11,625 steps. Wow!
I did not expect what fun it gave me with pedometers like Omron hj 112 pedometer. It makes my weight loss experience fun and, more accountable.

  • It makes my weight loss process to be more specific, now to me, weight loss to me is just 10,000 steps, period. No more fancy medications or drugs, books. Just walk 10,000 steps a day.
  • Make myself more accountable about my weight loss goal. I told all my family and friends that I have to walk 10,000 steps a day and if they catch me any day that I have not walked those many steps I’ll give them $20.
  • Pedometers make weight loss more fun and it also calculates all steps you have run/walked which make you feel that every step counts. That also means any exercises are good for you. So by keep exercising you get more readings from the paneland at the end of the day, it gives the total automatically.
  • Without pedometers, you may not be able to quantify and make your weight loss precess more specific. Like now, I can try to walk twice at work one in the morning, one at lunch time. Then walk after dinner with the family. Not just that, my pedometer also count every step I walk from my cube to the printer/kitchen in office, and go up/downstairs at home. I am also encouraged to “go extra miles” to get something for others, and “walking/dancing” (at the same place) while listening to the music or TV at home.

So if you are not having fun on your weight loss, or thinking losing weight is boring and tedious, why change something with your way of doing things. Sometimes even if a small change could give you brand new way of thinking and get you more motivated. That is my experience with my Omron pedometer. Other pedometers can do just the same and you may just pick any pedometer you like as long as they can accurately calculate the numbers of steps you have been walking or running.
