The Hoodia Gordonii plant, often referred to as a cactus, is in fact a prickly succulent originating in the Kalahari Desert of southern Africa. It has long been known and used by the indigenous people of that region as an appetite suppressant while on long hunting trips into the desert. Its use as an herbal remedy weight control supplement is what attracts most interest in today’s world where appetite suppressants and weight control supplements are in demand to make dieting easier and control hunger pangs.
