For quite a while now, you may have been seeing ads on TV that claim that drinking milk or eating dairy products three times a day can help your body burn more fat and therefore help you to lose weight. In 2005, the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) filed a petition to stop these ads and the USDA and dairy industry has finally pulled the ads. According to the PCRM, the studies used to back the claim that dairy assists weight loss are not scientifically sound.
