Getting In Shape After Giving Birth

It is a miracle to give birth. It is an experience most new moms share. Almost all new moms look forward to getting back to their pre pregnancy weights. It is rare to find a woman who can get back to her pre pregnancy weight immediately. If things are overwhelming for you then you shouldn’t worry. Most new moms are. You are capable of regaining your self esteem and individuality. You can actually achieve this by losing your post baby weight.

It will be much easier to get rid of the fats if you have exercised before and during pregnancy and you have planned it very well. You usually wait for 6 weeks before you can resume exercise. However, if you had a caesarian then you have to wait a bit longer. Perhaps around 8 weeks. Some women would resume exercise earlier. You can actually weigh things on your own. You have to listen to your body. Find cardio exercises that challenge your abs if you are ready. This is the part of your body where you need to fix a lot. Your back and your arms also need some work out. This will come in handy for picking up and playing with the baby. You should also need not to forget of stretching. A few days after giving birth, you may already have some gentle stretching.

It may be challenging to find time for your work out. If you can’t take an hour for yourself, try 20 minutes. It can all add up and can go a long way towards achieving your goal. You can try waking up a little earlier to do your workout. Studies show that people who work out in the morning are more likely to be consistent. You can bond with friends over a belly dancing class. This way, you can socialize and sweat out at the same time. Nap time for baby can be workout time for you. Instead of sleeping with the baby, take the time to work up a sweat.

You should get your diet back on track. The best diet plan to lose your post baby fat contains lots of fruits and vegetables. Eat complex carbohydrates and lean protein. You can get protein from other sources aside from meat. Nuts, legumes and dairy products will do. Breast feeding moms should feed their babies before exercising. You’ll be more comfortable. Also, babies fed after exercise are fussier. This is because lactic acid levels are increased in breastmilk. Make sure that you have good support for your breasts. Having a good pair of bra is important.

Changes will be brought by the new baby in all aspects of your life. Physically, emotionally, mentally. Getting back your pre baby life is an impossibility. Your stretch marks may also stay forever. But you can get your pre baby shape back. With a consistent fitness regimen, you can  drop your baby pounds in 3 to 9 months.
